Who we are
Nivio is an Android walking app from Mani Labs, Coimbatore, India. This policy covers the Nivio app. Questions go to support@manilabs.co. The business address is MIG 927/5, II Floor, MIG House, Gandhimaa Nagar, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641004, India.
The short version
Nivio does not ask you to create an account. It does not show ads. Walks, goals, history, and settings stay on the phone. You can export a backup, replace the walks from a file, or erase everything from Profile.
What stays on the phone
The app stores, on the device, the walks you save, steps, time, distance, calories, goals, streaks, an optional name, weight, height, and age, and the settings you choose. A step sensor and activity recognition are used to count walking and to notice when a walk can start by itself. A notification stays visible while Nivio is listening or a walk is underway. An optional reminder can notify you at 8:00 PM if the day’s goal is not done.
Location
Location is optional and is used only while a walk is active, so an outdoor route can be drawn. Nivio does not request background location for the whole day. If you leave location off, the walk can still be saved from steps and time.
Health Connect
Health Connect is optional. If you connect it, Nivio can read and write steps, distance, exercise sessions, and total calories so today’s walk can be shared with Health Connect on the same phone. You can leave this off.
Maps
When a saved route is shown, the phone requests map pictures from OpenStreetMap. That request leaves the device and includes the map area being shown, so the tile service can return the right picture. The route itself is not uploaded to Mani Labs.
Sharing
Sharing a walk is something you start. Nivio prepares a message, and if you choose, a picture, then hands it to the Android app you pick. We do not receive that message.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use walks for advertising. We do not require a login. Nivio is not made for children.

If this policy changes, the new date will appear at the top of this page.
